Google vs. The World: Healthcare Edition

Fat Albert believes that it seems like a decent idea to make healthcare information more accessible for patients and doctors alike. Those people that should have access to said informations shouldn't need to call their doctors during office hours or run over and get paper copies. Fat Albert believes that we like in the Internet Age and when everyone else around us is taking advantage of the utilities provided by the internet, more established institutions should become more accessible. There are most certainly disadvantages to this plan. For one, Fat Albert believes that the protection provided by HIPPA is very important to our security and that if doing this --> making healthcare information more accessible via the Internet --> may open a hole in HIPPA's protective security measures, then HIPPA should probably be changes. It only makes sense that over time, established traditions, institutions, thoughts and behaviors are changed, altered, and adapted to a new, if not better, way of life.
