Fat Albert recently read this article because it was assigned to be read by Paul. Fat Albert read all about Liza's sob story about downloading material illegally and how she wasn't sure if she was going to get in trouble or not and how she should proceed. Well the truth of the matter is that you shouldn't be downloading material illegally and if you do you should be more intelligent about it. Everyone has known, including Fat Albert, that you put yourself at an enormous amount of risk by downloading copyrighted material. Big production companies as well as big music companies are getting really pissed because they are losing so much of their expected revenues because people don't want to pay for their materials. This is not to say that Fat Albert isn't in favor of getting what you want the cheapest way you can. But come on folks! Be intelligent about it. For the last 4 or 5 years people have been saying don't use bit torrents. Just get it from your friends. If one person buys a copy of it and lets all his friends burn it off of them its just as cheap for you. Fat Albert is just saying if you are going to be dumb about it then you probably will get caught. Maybe not at first, but eventually. And you know what, fuck, if you are lucky enough to never get caught: CONGRATULATIONS! But if you are unfortunate enough to be one of those few that really get cracked down upon --> you are fucked. No way around that. So if you are gamblin' man, try your luck. But Fat Albert? Fat Albert would rather not risk his fat neck over a couple extra bucks.
